Preaching the Gospel to myself

Read today that to really love someone means to view that person as they could be not as they are. In other words, not to define a person by their weakness or sinfullness, but by who they could be.

So instead of looking at my friend Pete (fake name) and defining his image in my mind as the guy who is a loud mouth know-it all, I should look at him and consider him as someone God could use like he did Peter...

Or instead of looking at that politician who I know is just giving me a full line of bull and scheming to take my money and freedom, maybe I should look at him and see Matthew...the former hated tax collector...who Jesus choose and who wrote the first book of the new Testament.

Or how about the hopeless foul mouth neighbor down the street, who is an alcholic and has an obvious sorted past...you know, a "real sinner"...maybe I should see her as the woman who forced her way into a party as an unvited guest to lock eyes with the one who loved her much and forgave her...so much so, she said nothing, but cried tears of joy over the masters feet, dried them with her hair and annointed them with perfume...who would have saw that coming??? God did!

Yes, is it not better to just obey the one who really sees what's in the heart of a person? You never know how He might want use that person and after all, is that not exactly what He did for each one of us???

What a redeemer God we have !!!...All through Jesus who paid the price for each...
